On October 17, the 2025 Jiangsu Photovoltaic Industry High-Quality Development Conference and Photovoltaic Industry Development Forum was successfully held in Nanjing, China.

The event was jointly organized by the Jiangsu Renewable Energy Industry Association and LONGi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd. As a representative supplier of key photovoltaic auxiliary materials, Betterial was invited to participate in the conference.

Jiangsu Photovoltaic Industry High-Quality Development Conference and Photovoltaic Industry Development Forum

During the forum, Betterial shared its insights on topics including:

  • Development strategies under the new energy market reform policy (Document No. 136)
  • The impact of electricity market liberalization
  • Key technologies for offshore photovoltaic applications

Through its technological expertise and practical experience, Betterial contributed valuable perspectives to the high-quality development of Jiangsu’s photovoltaic industry.

Advanced Encapsulation Solutions Supporting Offshore PV Development

With the implementation of policies accelerating renewable energy participation in the electricity market, offshore photovoltaics have become an important direction for expanding photovoltaic deployment in Jiangsu Province.

However, offshore PV projects face extremely challenging environmental conditions, including:

  • High humidity and water vapor exposure
  • Strong salt spray corrosion
  • Intense wind and wave impact

These harsh conditions create significant challenges for long-term photovoltaic module reliability.

As a leading photovoltaic encapsulation film manufacturer, Betterial has developed dedicated offshore PV solutions, including:

  • Offshore-specific encapsulation films
  • Weather-resistant anti-corrosion coatings

These technologies provide enhanced protection and support the reliable operation of offshore photovoltaic systems.

High-Reliability Encapsulation Films for Marine Environments

Betterial’s Offshore-Specific Corrosion-Resistant POE Encapsulation Film incorporates patented technologies including:

  • Ion capture technology
  • Additive coupling and locking technology

These innovations provide stronger ion barrier performance and prevent material slippage during long-term storage and operation.

In addition, Betterial’s low-water-vapor-transmission EPE encapsulation film features:

  • Excellent acid resistance
  • Lower water vapor transmission rate (WVTR)
  • Enhanced protection against harsh marine environments

Together, these solutions provide more reliable protection for offshore photovoltaic modules.

As one of the first companies to participate in the CPVT & CIMC Jiguang Offshore PV Demonstration Base, Betterial’s offshore encapsulation solutions have continuously received the:

“Offshore Outdoor Demonstration Safety Operation Certificate”

This recognition demonstrates the company’s contribution to improving the reliability of offshore photovoltaic products.

Betterial Weather-Resistant Anti-Corrosion Coating

Weather-Resistant Anti-Corrosion Coating Ensuring Long-Term Durability

Betterial’s Weather-Resistant Anti-Corrosion Coating adopts a water-based formulation and has demonstrated outstanding durability through rigorous reliability testing.

Excellent UV and Aging Resistance

After 300 kWh Wet UV testing, the coating showed:

  • Minimal color difference
  • High gloss retention
  • No obvious chalking

These results demonstrate excellent resistance to ultraviolet radiation and long-term weather aging.

Superior Salt Spray and Environmental Resistance

The coating maintained stable appearance and performance after:

  • 5,000 hours Neutral Salt Spray (NSS) testing
  • 3,000 hours Damp Heat (DH3000) testing
  • 2,000 thermal shock cycles

These results confirm its outstanding weather resistance and salt spray corrosion protection capabilities.

Excellent Scratch and Abrasion Resistance

Additional mechanical testing showed:

  • Sand abrasion resistance: >8 L/μm
  • Coating scratch hardness: >2H

The product has also obtained TÜV SÜD certification, providing reliable protection for composite frames and mounting structures operating in marine environments.

From policy response to technology implementation, Betterial is leveraging proven material solutions to address key operation and maintenance challenges in offshore photovoltaic applications.

Through continuous innovation in photovoltaic encapsulation materials and protective technologies, Betterial remains committed to improving module reliability, supporting the high-quality development of the PV industry, and contributing advanced solutions to the global transition toward clean energy.
